Tyler Batista

High-Level Performance Coach & USAV National Champion

Tyler Batista brings more than 17 years of experience to the volleyball community as both a player and a coach, developing athletes from foundational levels through collegiate competition. Known for her technical precision and competitive edge, Tyler has trained players across high school, junior club, collegiate club, and private school programs — with many of her athletes advancing to compete at the DI, DII, and Junior College levels. At the club level, Tyler has coached numerous elite teams that qualified for Nationals. In 2018, she was a member of the Austin Performance 15s National Team coaching staff, contributing to a USAV Girls Junior National Championship title. Just two years prior, in 2016, she was named Coach of the Year in her first season with Austin Performance — a testament to both her leadership and immediate impact. She also served on the Waco Juniors coaching staff from 2011–2013. Her high school coaching résumé is equally impressive. In 2016, she was part of the St. Michael's Catholic Academy staff that secured the TAPPS 5A State Championship. Additional highlights include a 5th Place SPC finish with St. Andrew's Episcopal School (2018), a 7th Place TAPPS 5A finish with St. Michael's (2017), and a 5th Place TAPPS 2A finish with Live Oak Classical School (2011). Tyler also assisted the University of Texas Women's Club team to a 4th Place Division I finish at the NCVF National Championships and contributed to the growth of the Baylor University Men's Club program during the 2012–2013 seasons. A native Austinite and Baylor University alum, Tyler's love for the game began at age nine. Having played every position throughout her club career, she developed a comprehensive understanding of the game — a foundation that now shapes her coaching philosophy. While at Baylor, her passion for setting and defensive systems flourished, and she has since become known for her ability to break down complex skills into detailed, teachable components that build true mastery. Tyler believes that elite performance is built on more than mechanics. Every training session emphasizes purpose, passion, work ethic, leadership, accountability, and selflessness. Her mission is not only to develop skilled volleyball players, but to shape disciplined, confident competitors who embody the full character of the sport — on and off the court.
